Armand Bayou nature center Bryophytes

Armand Bayou Nature Center is a wilderness park located just southeast of Houston, Texas. The center consists of 2500 acres of wetland, forest, prairie, and marsh habitat that straddles the banks of Armand Bayou; a branch of Clear Lake which feeds into the Trinity-Galveston Bay Complex. The site is owned by Harris County, and is managed by ABNC as a 501c(3) non-profit organization.

This project will work in conjunction with nature center staff and local volunteers to inventory bryophytes within the ABNC. The combination of upland and wetlands habitat types, and associated ecotones, should provide ample opportunities for discovery and education, while informing center staff about these unique organisms found throughout the property.
